Terms of service
Last updated: October 25, 2026
The short version
- The onlyread extension is free and open source. Pro runs the AI judge for you; in early access it is free, with a set number of judged requests.
- Paid Pro ($5 a month) is coming. When it opens, Paddle sells it on our behalf and handles payment, tax and invoices.
- Once you pay: cancel any time from your account page, and ask within 14 days of a payment for a full refund.
- onlyread greatly reduces what an agent can change, but no tool can promise it will stop every change.
These terms are an agreement between you and OnlyRead AI (“we”, “us”), the company behind onlyread. They cover the onlyread browser extension, the onlyread Pro service and this website. By installing the extension or subscribing to Pro, you accept them.
1. The extension
The extension is free and released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. That license governs your rights to use, copy, change and share its code. The rest of these terms apply to how you use it with our service and website.
2. onlyread Pro
Early access. Until paid Pro opens, Pro is free: each account gets a number of judged requests (1,000 today), and codes we hand out can add more. Free requests have no cash value, can’t be transferred, and end when used. When they run out, the extension refuses anything it cannot classify, as it does without Pro. We may change the number given to new accounts or end early access, with notice on this page.
Pro lets the extension use our hosted AI judge instead of a model key of your own, keeps your guarded sites on your account across browsers, and lets you set up an agent’s browser from a link. You need an account to use it, and you are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
Fair use
Pro includes generous usage for everyday agent work. To keep the service reliable for everyone, we apply a monthly limit on judged requests per account and a short-term rate limit. If you reach a limit, the extension falls back to its fail-closed behaviour: anything it cannot classify is refused. If your usage is far beyond ordinary use, we will contact you before taking further action.
3. Billing (once paid Pro opens)
Nothing is charged during early access. This section applies once paid Pro opens and you subscribe.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- Price: $5 per month, plus any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, shown at checkout before you pay.
- Renewal: your subscription renews automatically each month on the date you subscribed, until you cancel.
- Price changes: we will tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription. You can cancel before it does.
- Codes: in early access a code adds free judged requests. Once paid Pro opens, a code may give a free period; when it ends, the subscription continues at the normal price only if you have added a payment method, otherwise Pro stops.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your account page (Manage billing) or by writing to us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting your account cancels the subscription immediately.
5. Refund policy
If you are not happy with Pro, ask for a refund within 14 days of any payment and we will refund that payment in full. No reason needed. Write to support@onlyread.ai with the email address of your account, or contact Paddle through the link in your receipt. Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days. After 14 days, payments are not refundable, except where the law where you live gives you a right to one.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use onlyread or the Pro service to break the law or the terms of the websites you use, to access accounts or data you are not allowed to access, to attack, overload or probe our service, or to resell or share access to the Pro service. We may suspend an account that does, and we will tell you why.
7. What onlyread does and does not promise
onlyread classifies the requests a browser makes on the sites you guard and blocks the ones that would change something. Websites change how they work, and some combine reads and writes in ways no tool can always tell apart. onlyread greatly reduces the risk of an agent changing something by mistake, but it does not eliminate it. You remain responsible for the agents you run and for the accounts they use.
The extension and the service are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for changes an agent makes to a website, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
8. Changes to the service and these terms
We may change or stop features as onlyread develops. If we stop Pro, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and refund any period you have paid for but cannot use. If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top and tell Pro subscribers by email before the change takes effect.
9. Privacy
How we handle data is described in our privacy policy.
